Limited Edition Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 10-46 Chanterelle TV

Of the latest things that come in Limited Edition, we now have Bang & Olufsen televisions too. If you loved the BeoVision 10-46 but missed the bus, then world renowned audio and video manifacturer is just out with yet another limited edition version called the Chanterelle TV.  Inspired by Scandinavian interiors and the warmth of the color wood represents, the Chanterelle collection carries an earthy and sleek look which was seen in the earlier collection. The quality of product is of course complimentary.

Apart from its new colour scheme, the TV itself is the same as the conventional BeoVision 10-46; Full HD (1080p), with edge LED backlighting and has a 200/240Hz refresh rate depending on the region. Naturally, the 46 suffix is a clue to its screen size, 46 inches, and has an integrated stereo speaker that can double as a centre speaker in a surround sound set-up (with connections all supplied on the set itself).

Like all modern flat panel TV, it can be mounted on the wall or you could just let it sit on the floor. The unobtrusive stand concealed behind the TV allows it to lean back like a painting readying for a gallery show, while a pair of thin, anodized spikes in matching color, appears to lift the TV up.
Also available for purchase, and for only those who buy the TV are Beolab 6002 speakers which shall also be available in the same Chantrelle color. The rear part is made in dark-brown anodised aluminium and the front fabric matches the front of BeoVision 10.
The BeoVision 10-46 Chanterelle Edition was envisioned and the completed by David Lewis Design Studio that saw this new television as a means of providing a unique appeal to the edition and help it stand out among the rest in the markets.
Only 500 BeoVision 10-46 Chanterelle TVs will be made, with numbers 8 and 88 already having been sold to Chinese customers (the number 8 is considered very lucky in Chinese culture). The Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 10-46 Chanterelle costs £7,400 ($11,670), the BeoLab 6002 Chanterelle speaker £2,600 ($4,100), and the easel stand £360 ($565).

Bang & Olufsen, a Danish company known for its pricey high-end audio devices, has now come up with a new version of its stereo headset for all iPhone, iPad and iPod users looking for the highest sound quality and a fashion statement piece. Successor to the company’s EarSet 3 headset, the new EarSet 3i is a stylish, wired, stereo headset with built-in microphone and a 4-pole mini jack, which has been designed to fit the individual ear comfortably without compromise.

The headset has an electro-dynamic full tone loudspeakers mounted on telescopic rod, constructed according to the open loudspeaker principle, that allows users to hear some of the surrounding sounds of the environment. Matching ears like a pair of glasses and can be easily adapted to the contours and curves of each ear. Each piece of the EarSet 3i is very light weight at about 8 grams with a total weight of 23 grams including the 3.3-foot cord. The frequency range is light on bass at 50Hz to 20,000Hz.
The remote on the EarSet 3i incorporates three separate buttons that adjust the volume and can be used to navigate through song titles on your iPhone, iPod, or iPad. Although the EarSet 3i spec sheet only lists Apple products as compatible with the headset, but if the remote is anything like other smartphone-friendly headphones, it’s likely to work with Android handsets as well.

Bang & Olufsen has unveiled the latest tech in its BeoSound range, the BeoSound 5 Encore, a home music hub that can organise your sprawling music collection. The modern-day jukebox works similar to a networked media consul and is priced much less than the first generation BeoSound 5 system, know for it’s capability to stream on Internet radio and featured a hard drive.

The BeoSound 5 Encore is equipped with 10.4-inch TFT LCD with low reflection coating and aluminium wheel, allowing you to browse through your music. The system gives easy access to your digital music conveniently arranged by album, artist, track or your favourites, plus access to more than 13,000 internet radio stations from all over the world, constantly updated automatically by B&O. It is enhanced with patented MOTS intelligent playlist technology, which captures the unique musical identity of a track, and then uses this to compile a playlist of similar music.

Also if you have a collection of digital music in a variety of spaces, you can integrate the same with this system, as it has the flexibility of reading from USB sources, NAS servers, an external computer or even Apple media devices via AirPlay. The system supports wide range of audio formats and connection options include a mini jack for Headphone, Line-in, 2 USB ports, Ethernet port and 802.11 a/n WiFi. Up to eight Encore hubs can be placed throughout the house to stream different songs simultaneously from the same network.

BeoSound 5 Encore offers different options for wall, table or floor placement. As with most of its designs, Bang & Olufsen is charging a premium for the new BeoSound add-on. It should cost $3,350 when it arrives in stores in August. [Bang & Olufsen]

What you see above is Bang & Olufsen Beosound 24ct gold & Diamond Edition, the world’s most expensive music center created by Stuart Hughes. Shaped out of 32 kilograms of solid 24ct gold, the system is also decked with 70 diamonds of 0.75 carat along with Aventurine and Topaz gemstones. The whole Beosound system along with speakers is plastered with handmade solid gold veneer.

It is not very difficult to guess that the model has not been developed for the mass market but to satisfy the tastes of an exclusive few. Only five units will be offered for sale, with each costing a whopping £1.2 million ($1.85 million).
